Hello to everybody, what I’m going to explain next is very generic information, it's more like an introduction to the topic using the simplest vocabulary I can to explain it. Do you trust me? I hope so!

It is considered holistic healing using mainly essential oils, and other materials with aromatic characteristics that usually come from plants for therapeutic benefit. What a lot of people don’t realize is that we capture information unconsciously through our senses, and one of the strongest is smelling. All the smells stimulate our brain, it sends information that we believe is unknown for us but our body and emotion have a natural reaction to it (or at least for most people). There are a bunch of information saved in our DNA “library”, and even if you never smelled a specific aroma you still will show a generic reaction to it. Just like someone that has never heard or seen a snake, the first reaction of most of the people is to be scared and try to get away from it. This is because that experience from our ancestors is part of our subconscious now.

One of the main reasons why I work with aromatherapy is the emotional effect it has (at least on me), it helped me get distracted and take a break from specific situations where I needed to have a clear head to solve it. Later, I realized how it also helped to lighten up dense spaces and how it changed frequencies. In case you are a sensitive person, it might help you. It is a gift from nature, it's important to use it with a grateful heart and be careful not to harm her by taking too much from her, so don’t waste it!

Besides smelling the aroma you like the most, each of them can be used for specific things. Here I will mention the most common, according to the emotion you are facing (look the different methods to apply it, can be from a diffuser, roll-on, spray, bath, etc.) and when to use it.

Lavender: when you are feeling anxious, unrested, having insomnia, insecurities, repressed, judged.

Sweet Orange: when you are feeling negative, annoyed, unrested; if you are looking for creativity and joy.

Ylang-ylang: when you feel tense, insecure, angry, detached from yourself, feel you don’t deserve love.

Ginger: When you feel lazy, doubting, closed. Want to feel warming and productive.ef, good for meditation and to ground.

Frankincense: when you feel lost, unprotected, airhead, grief, good for meditation and to ground.

Clary Sage: when you feeling disconnected, blocked, limited or that the environment is heavy energetically. If you are looking for clarity and some creativity.

In the modern world, a lot of people will say that there’s no evidence that aromatherapy can heal, and they might be right, there's still a lot of studies that need to be done. But the thing is humans have been using aromatherapy since centuries ago, ancient civilizations used it in their medicine, part of the beauty routine, etc. I believe that’s why they are part of the ingredients in today’s medicine, cosmetics, and other products that has the purpose of improving ourselves and our lifestyle. A good essential oil is not only going to give the benefits of its properties, but also will work energetically.

There are risks of using essential oils too, so it's important to go to a professional or search enough information before making your own stuff, always from the smallest amount and increase slowly.

Hope it was helpful. Best wishes and have a great day~ <3
